It allows you to work under the direct supervision of a G1- or G2-licensed gas technician, performing tasks such as installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining gas lines and equipment up to 400,000 BTUH.
To obtain the G3 certification, you must complete a TSSA-approved training course and pass the related provincial qualification exam. The training course typically includes both theoretical education and practical training, and you must achieve a grade average of 75% or higher in both areas.
After completing the training and meeting the prerequisites, you can register for the TSSA Gas Technician 3 Exam. The exam must be written within one year of completing the training.
